Much of my contribution to the Super Yachting sector has been made on a voluntary basis, including 5 years as Director of Interior Crew Training and Development for the PYA and contributing to a variety of yachting magazines as well as participating in many yacht shows, conferences, radio broadcasts and webinars to discuss and promote Interior Yacht Crew Training and Wellbeing.For the last 10 years I have been helping, along with other industry professionals, to bring an awareness and understanding to the industry of the importance of Crew Welfare/Wellbeing. I feel strongly that each of us has a responsibility to ensure the safety and welfare of others and am determined to do my part.I naturally became a mentor to many of my students – and colleagues over the years and in 2018 co-created the “Life is for Living” support group in Palma de Mallorca, following the suicide of a crew member on the island.In 2021 I created the PYA Welfare group to work alongside and support the excellent work ISWAN does for Superyacht crew.In 2025, I trained to become a certified professional Life Coach and Mentor with Erickson Coaching International gaining “The Art and Science of Coaching” qualification in order to add this invaluable knowledge to my technical, Self-Leadership and Yacht Mental Health and Wellness training programmes and now offer tailored Coaching and Mentoring services for yacht crew and shore-based professionals across the yachting industry.Whether you’re navigating a career move, seeking clarity, or simply want to feel more confident in your decisions, this is space designed to support your growth
