Phoenix Superyacht Training offers
Created by ex-superyacht Chief Stewardess and industry professional, Lynne Edwards, based near Antibes on the Cote d’Azur, France. With a strong foundation in both the Super Yacht and High-end Hospitality sectors, Phoenix Superyacht Training services are available globally both online, onboard and onshore in private residences, resorts & yacht-related businesses.
Lynne has been part of the IAMI GUEST program since it’s inception in 2008 and continues to support it as an accedited trainer and as a member of the Maritime Hospitality Sub-Group Committee member.
She has an abiding passion for Personal Development and part of her aim is to encourage recognition for the challenging and demanding work professional Superyacht crew and Hospitality staff undertake. She also loves bringing a deeper understanding, acceptance and appreciation of self and others to ALL individuals and teams in the high-end hospitality industry
Lynne is a skilled and impactful superyacht crew trainer, bringing over 40 years of hospitality experience to the company. She has been an integral part of the creation, continual development, promotion and teaching of industry-recognised interior crew training programmes and has dedicated the last two decades of her life to the education and empowerment of many hundreds of superyacht crew members and hospitality staff.
During her tenure as PYA Director of Interior Crew Training & Development, Lynne set up the PYA Welfare group to support interior crew with the challenges they were facing on board and this is still offering a terrific service to the industry. She is certified in Mental Health First Aid with www.mhfaengland.org and has trained with www.saferwaves.org
As well as a continued supporter of the wonderful work ISWAN are doing through their welfare services to yacht crew through their 24/7 Seafarers help line and the unique services of MSOS (Medical Support Offshore) and The Crew Mess for drug and alcohol addiction, she also proudly endorses the Blue Ducks a charitatable fundraising initiative, created to champion the mental health of yacht crew members through dedicated fundraising efforts
In an industry whose foremost asset is people, she strongly believes in the importance of this work to increase employee engagement and encourage the enjoyment of and longevity in the industry, knowing that this will automatically translate into a better owner and guest experience.
